Passenger profile studies at five international airports


This study was designed by ANA Aeroportos and was awarded to VTM with the goal of obtaining an overall characterization of the passenger profile at five Portuguese international airports, namely to understand:

  • Traffic composition evolution
  • Motivations and trip choices
  • Sociodemographic characteristics.

This study of ongoing development is one of ANA’s Marketing Intelligence tools to support Aviation and Non-Aviation Marketing areas on its diverse strands of action. VTM has been continuosly responsible for the development of this project since 2017.

The Passenger Profile project involves different stages and tasks: validation of the survey model; sample sizing; development of the survey collection software; selection, recruitment and hiring fieldwork teams; fieldwork planning and development; on-field supervision of the survey collection and training actions; data validation; preparing databases and reports to the Client; among others.
