On the 5th February, 2025 Cristian Adorean, Senior Consultant at VTM Global, successfully defended his PhD in Urban Studies — a joint programme between NOVA FCSH and Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa — receiving the highest distinction, Muito Bom (Very Good).
His doctoral research, “Electric Micromobility and Contributions to Urban Governance: A Comparative and Prospective Analysis of Lisbon, Madrid, and Cluj-Napoca,” explored the impact of shared and private e-bikes and e-scooters on urban mobility policies and governance. By examining these cities, his work provides valuable insights into how micromobility can be integrated into sustainable urban planning.
Over the past five years, Cristian has successfully balanced his consultancy role at VTM Global with his academic research and, more recently, his teaching responsibilities at ISEL – Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa.
Please join us in congratulating Cristian on this remarkable achievement!
