MSc/BSc in Mechanical Engineering by NOVA FCT, with post-graduate studies in Logistics (MBA by IST/ISCTE/FEUP) and Data Science (NOVA IMS), complemented with intensive training in Transport Modeling (MIT, US; PTRC, UK) and PFI/PPPs schemes (UMI, Austria).
Miguel has 23 years of experience across the transport sector – covering road, rail, ports and airports. As Senior Associate Director, Miguel advises our clients on highways, rail, aviation, and freight transport/logistics for various types of requests, namely concession tenders, assets valuation and transactions, due diligences, litigations or debt refinancing, having performed analyses related to operational performance of transport systems, pricing, competitiveness assessments, and focused research within the scope of transport research projects funded by the European Commission.
Miguel holds relevant international experience in Europe (France, Germany, Georgia, Ireland, Portugal, Spain), North America (Mexico, USA), LATAM (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Uruguay) and Africa (Mozambique, Cape Verde, and Sao Tome and Principe). Author of 14 technical communications presented at leading industry events.
