Miguel is a graduate consultant with a background in Civil Engineering from Lisbon’s Instituto Superior Técnico, where he focused on Urbanism, Transportation and Systems. His academic foundation emphasized data-driven approaches to sustainable mobility and the integration of machine learning tools in urban planning and design.
At VTM, Miguel contributes to transport infrastructure and mobility projects by combining analytical methods with strategic insight. He supports data analysis, spatial evaluation and services studies, applying a structured and research-based approach to address complex mobility challenges.
His master’s thesis, developed in collaboration with a university research laboratory, explored how machine learning and spatial analysis can assess the impact of street design on public perception.
He has also developed experience in communication, coordination and leadership through roles in academic organizations.
