Gabriel is a professional with top-level education, advising our clients across several areas of the transport industry

Gabriel Stumpf received his Ph.D in Transportation Systems from MITPortugal program, a partnership between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Superior Technical Institute (IST, Lisbon). His research was concentrated on contracts, Public-private partnerships (PPP), public procurement, sunshine regulation, and risk management related to public transportation systems and infrastructure. He was a guest researcher at CPIP – Cornell Program in Infrastructure Policy (Ithaca, NY).

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Transportation Engineering, both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

He hails from Brazil, where he began his career designing transportation infrastructure (highways and railroads) in Latin America. He also has experience with transport planning and regulation, having supported several clients in the public sector to launch tenders for the concession/provision of public transport in Brazil and Portugal.

Over the last 10 years, he has had the opportunity to participate in projects in Latin America, Europe, and Africa, advising both private and public sector clients in several areas in the transport sector such as buses, flexible transport, ferry, railroads, highways and ports.
