Marco holds a bachelor’s degree in planning and Spatial Management by the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning and a master’s degree in Spatial Planning and Urbanism by the same institution. In his master’s thesis, he analysed the relationship between transport and land use, and assessed its impacts and the urban development opportunities generated by it, in which he developed a case study that focused on the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
He has worked in Spatial Planning consultancy companies, where he participated in elaboration of several Territorial Management Instruments, mainly Municipal Master Plans, but also in a Local Housing Strategy and in a Strategic Environmental Assessment. He worked in a municipal Strategic Planning office, where he participated in the development of sustainable urban mobility projects.
